My son John and my daughter-in-law Sandy are expecting their first child. Though they have not yet to decide on a name, they have given the expected baby a nickname: "Daw Daw". Daw Daw means little pea.

I like this nickname very much; I recall a book that read many years ago written by an educator in Japan talking about his daughter's childhood. His daughter's nickname was "Daw Daw", the little pea.

The "Spring Thunder" came two days ago. This signified the beginning of spring.

My friend Betty has lots of photos of spring flowers. I love these flowers. I combine these photos together into one and call it a portrait of "Spring Blossom".
