Betty visited Judge Julie yesterday and took lots of pictures of flowers in Judge Julie's backyard. This is a romantic garden, it is so fantastic!

It feels so good and so sweet to see these flowers.

This is Sandy, my son's fiancee. She is a beautiful girl with good character. She is very sweet. We like her very much.

My son took Sandy's picture when they visited Big Surf in CA.

My husband took the rose picture on the right in the flower market some time ago.

I did an abstract painting at the bottom of this composite picture.

Isn't this combination beautiful?

I was about to send my best friend Betty an e-mail; there she was, sending me many pictures of the Tulips in her garden.

Then I went to her blog; the current post was about her friend Cyndie and family. http://ncag.blogspot.com/2007/03/cyndie-visits-betty.html The two photos are warm and full of life. Cyndie is a wonderful person and Betty's backyard seems to have so much fun.

I used Photoshop to work on three of the Tulip pictures. The one I like the most is posted here today. Somehow the raindrops on the Tulip make the picture very attractive.

Sammy loves the sun. She likes to lean against the wall and let her body soak up the warmness of the sunshine; she also like to lie on the ground with her belly exposed to the sun.

When the sun moves the shades, Sammy moves to catch the sunshine.

Sammy is a sun worshiper.

My son John is getting married in September. I am making an electronic photo album for him.

I have a wonderful time looking at his childhood pictures. This is the one that I chose to be the cover of the album. There are some big candles in the picture; John and his sister Carin made them when they were kids.

My husband Fuming has taken some pictures at a flower market recently. I picked one of these flower pictures and used Photoshop to make an edge for the album cover.

It's the beginning of this electronic album.

Betty's backyard is a treasure of trees and flowers. Each season there are different scenes and flowers.

It's the Pear Blossom time at her backyard right now. Look at these flowers, aren't they pretty? These beautiful flowers are going to turn into tasty pears in the summer. I can't wait to taste the fresh fruits

I am still trying to perfect my Photoshop "watercolor edge" technique.

Here is another design of watercolor edge being used on this picture of Holly tree taken at Betty's garden. I like the contrast of the colors, bright orange-red with the dark green background edged by white and gray watercolor.

My son John also has a Holly tree in his garden but it had very few fruits.

Last May Betty sent me photos of her Fava Bean harvest. I posted a Photoshopped version of one of the photos, see http://artintaiwan.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

Betty sent me some photos yesterday. In March, Fava Beans are not yet in the "bean" form. The plants are now full of flowers that will eventually turned into beans.

I have learned more Photoshop techniques recently. I watercolored the Fava plants and added an edge to the picture. Now the picture looks more like a painting. I like this design, I hope you will like it too.

This is Sammy, my son's dog. She likes people, she is a very lovely dog. She likes to run around in the backyard, does not like to be inside her dog house. She likes one of our neighbor and she would look at his yard through a hole in the fence.

Sammy does not like vaccum cleaners, as a matter of fact, she is afraid of the vaccum cleaner in my son's house. Sammy is silly but what a cute dog.

I was looking at some of our old albums and saw this interesting picture taken in 1978. In the news then was a cow with a name of a movie star-White Beauty. She would answer to her name when called by the owner.

The farmer was a friend of my husband. He invited our family to join his family for the Mid Autumn Festival that year. We got to call the cow by her movie star name and she did come to us; then we got to touch her.

We had a great time. I am glad that there is a picture in my album to record this happy visit to the farm.
